A must visit please for nature lovers located behind madhusagar surrounded by forest and you can see gaint squirrel on the trees besides monkeys. Very good personalized service provided by the owners especially Nihal and Ashutosh staff are also very friendly overall had a very good experience

A blissful stay in the midst of Nature

If you are looking to spend some time in the midst of nature, do not look elsewhere. The singing of the birds, the chirping of the crickets and the squeaky rain call of the toads will always remind you that you made the right decision. The drive to the resort was really enjoyable as we drove through the clouds amidst the meandering road covered by dense vegetations. There was nobody at the entry gate and thus I drove past and arrived at the Reception. The check in formality was quite exhaustive. I filled up a four page declaration form on Covid guidelines, Wish this was provided online and the guest could fill it through a link, especially if we are so concerned about Covid of travellers. The MMT site through which I booked did specify that RT- PCR is not mandatory. However, I am glad that the Hotel staff informed me of this anomaly before I travelled to avoid inconvenience on arrival. This is clearly a lapse from MMT. On checking in I drove straight to our cottage. During my stay I interacted with the hotel manager through WhatsApp and instantly it was taken care off. Due to heavy rainfall there was no chance of doing a sight seeing and thus we decided to lounge at room and finish reading a book which was long due. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It also had a Sofa cum bed at one side. The hotel provided a Electric kettle and a hot flask to store water. Strangely there were no coffee sachets or Tea bags and I had to WhatsApp and inform. The room also had a TV but hardly any channel to watch. The mini fridge also did not get my attention as the outside temperature was 17 C. The wardrobe to keep clothes could have ben better The bathroom was clean but not to my liking. There were no toiletries provided which I would have expected. The shower door panel was covering just 50% of the shower and thus water splashed inside the other part of the bathroom and a sliding door should have ben present. There were no towel mats provided and thus keeping the bathroom dry in this climate was a Herculean task. The best part was the seating arrangement outside the room. It is a courtyard which was covered all around so that rain doesn’t spoil the party. It was an amazing experience reading my book and just not doing anything after a long time.The heavy rainfall did sprayed me a bit here and there in between the sheets but I did not mind till the temperature dropped further and I got back to my room. I love to eat outdoor and thus we had our dinner and breakfast leisurely in the courtyard. We signed up a package of one Meal and breakfast including the stay. The dinner was splendid. We were provided a soup which was spicy and was perfect for the damp weather. We were served Dal, Mixed sabzi and a Paneer sabzi along with Roti and Jeera Rice. To make it memorable it ended with hot Gulab jamuns. In the breakfast we were served Aloo Patties, Upma, Bread and Tea/coffee. The staff who served the food was very warm with us and ensured that all our needs at the table was taken care off. I was overall satisfied with my stay never felt there is a threat to pick up an infection as the staff maintained cleanliness and hygiene all throughout.Just hope that basic complementaries are provided in the room to ensure guests don’t have to call and request for it.Please note the resort does not serve alcohol

A family retreat to relax and unwind

Our group of 13 people( age range of 6-77 yrs) stayed at the Grand resort for 4 days and I must say that our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are spacious ahd could accomodate a family of 4 easily. The bathrooms are basic but clean and functional. The food was very good and they catered to the tastes of the diverse group that we were. They went out of their way to serve no spicy food for my mother and the kids in addition to the elaborate buffet that was there every day. The kids were enthralled with the trampouline, the hammocks and the swings under the trees as well as a machaan . But the icing on the cake was the 3 month old labrador pup- whose playful nature won our hearts. The elders had ample space to walk around in the midst of tall trees and the nature's green canopy. The swimming pool was not functional but that was understandable since we are not yet out of the pandemic and I certainly was not going to be dipping my feet in cold water in winters. Shopping and restraunts are nearly and there is ample parking for the guests. The only drawback was that the place was not meant to cater for people with physical disabilites - there are quite a few steps to manipulate for senior citizens. The personal attention given by the owners was very touching and all requests were attended to very promptly. They even arranged a magic show when they learnt that it was my daughter's birthday! All in all, a very pleasant holiday for us - and we would definitely be going back there whenever we revisit Mahabaleshwar.

I and my family had a very comfortable and a pleasant stay at Grand resort, we stayed for 6 days. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff were very nice and approachable. The owners were very helpful and nice and they all made our stay very comfortable.
